Athlete profile

Sophie started OCR at a young age and quickly developed a reputation for racing smart – pacing her runs, attacking obstacles with confidence and staying composed under pressure.

In 2023 she travelled with her family and Team UK OCR to the Spartan Kids World Championships in the Bahamas, where she delivered a brilliant performance to become World Champion. In 2025 she added the European Spartan Kids title in London, confirming her status as one of Europe’s leading junior athletes.

Based in Colchester, Essex, Sophie trains around school and family life – mixing running, strength work and technical skills on the rig in the garden. She enjoys racing with and supporting her brother Harry, who is also a multiple-time world and European champion.
